The New York Times has reported that the Obamas are in advanced negotiations to produce new Netflix series. They have been pretty quiet as of late, but they appear to be making their way into the spotlight again. The deal is not yet final, but no other president has ever made such a deal like this before. It seems like the Barack and Michelle Obama are taking advantage of their earned popularity and likeability.
We still do not know whether they’ll be on camera but this is good news for Netflix as they expand their catalog beyond just dramas and comedies. We can expect a program with vital political commentary. Those who love the ideology of the Obamas are sure to appreciate whatever comes out of this. We’ll just have to wait for now as very little information is out there. Netflix has still been quiet about this so this may not be official. Let’s cross our fingers!
