21 Savage & Metro Boomin Finally Drop Music Visiauls for ‘X’ Feat. Future

Young 21 Savage and Metro Boomin decided to end their year off by blessing us with some new visuals for “X.” The song was undeniably the hit track from their joint mix tape Savage Mode and a personal favorite of mine.

When I heard the news of the video, I immediately was excited. However, I am disappointed with the lack of creativity that went into creating the video. The plot is super obvious, 21 Savage and  Metro are literally just flexing on their ex bitches the entire time. In the first scene, you see a girl yelling at 21 for playing video games (boring), then it leads into him rapping on a mattress full of money (even more boring). Future barely had  story-line and just danced around an empty Atlanta mansion. I understand music videos don’t make much of a difference in the grand schemes of things, but I would like to see artists put more thought into them.  Fans still like to see their favorite artists act and be fierce. Why do you think Beyoncé’s last two albums were visual albums and not just audio? The reason is because the average consumer is more visual then ever and it matters! The song is poppin’ and  deserves a way better visual in my opinion.  Hopefully, 21 Savage’s team comes up with something better next time.
