It’s been five years since Nas dropped Life Is Good, but fans won’t have to wait much longer for his next project.
In an interview with Billboard, the New York legend confirmed that his yet-to-be-named 11th album is due this year “for sure.”
Last year, Nasty Nas teased his forthcoming LP on “Nas Album Done,” a song off DJ Khaled’s Major Key. However, he says that title wasn’t entirely accurate. “It’s not done ’til it hits the streets,” he explained.
But prior to releasing the follow-up to Life Is Good, the Mass Appeal boss says fans should expect a surprise or two. “We might do a single, but we might do something different,” he said.
Nas revealed that he’s adding the album’s finishing touches at the new WeWork-built Mass Appeal headquarters in New York City, where he recently built a new studio space.
In the meantime, you can hear Nas rap on Netflix’s hit show ‘The Get Down’.
