Zendaya is making her way back to the small screen. On Monday, July 30, the actress gave fans a first glimpse of her new show Euphoria. The show will premiere on HBO and has attracted big names such as Drake and Future the Prince, who serve as the executive producers.
Although the clip the actress posted on her Instagram was short, it’s clear that this character is far different than any other Zendaya has played. The new HBO drama follows a group a high school teens as they try to deal with the trauma, love, friendships, drug sex, social media, and identity. Zendaya plays Rue, a 17-year-old drug addict who’s trying to find her way.
The show is based on the 2012 Israeli series of the same name.
Rounding out the cast is Maude Apatow, Brian “Astro” Bradley, Angus Cloud, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Barbie Ferreira, Nika King, Storm Reid, Gia Hunter Schafer, and Sydney Sweeney.
This is Drake’s second venture into producing for television and film.
While the show hasn’t premiered yet, it’s definitely going to be a must see.
