The Weeknd’s Visuals for Music Video ‘Reminder’ has us Yawning

The Weekend finally released his ‘Reminder’ video and it was very interesting. When watching a music video by The Weeknd, I expect to see some real artsy, off-the-wall stuff that I won’t understand until watching the video five more times. However, this time was different. In fact, the video I watched left me feeling like this wasn’t a Weeknd video, but instead a desperate play at Trap R&B culture.

The video featured cameos from Travis Scott, A$AP Rocky,  YG, Bryson Tiller, French Montana, and of course, fellow Canadian Drake.  ‘Reminder’ also featured your normal hip hop scenes that range from a plane that isn’t flying to The Weeknd flying down a freeway with A$AP Rocky. The video was honestly, so boring that it took everything in me not to just switch tabs and listen to the song without the video.

Overall,  the ‘Reminder’ video is a visual I can appreciate, but it doesn’t feel like The Weeknd at all.
Other Staffers really enjoyed this Music Video, but what did you think???
