MEFeater visits Brooklyn’s Labor Day Parade

Every year since 1964, the Labor Day Parade has been held on Eastern Parkway, in the neighborhood of Crown Heights, Brooklyn, New York. Before then the parade was held in Harlem, another neighborhood in New York City rich in African-American Culture. Many people think the Labor Day Parade is all about inappropriate dancing and good Caribbean food. However, it’s about so much more. It’s about the blending of the Afro-West Indian culture with American culture. It’s about one love and remaining irie, cool, even in the heat of oppression. This year MEFeater visited the parade.
