FentyxPUMA has sued Forever 21 for infringing on the brand’s copyright, patent, and trademark with the creepers, fur and bow slides. FentyxPUMA has also moved to bar Forever 21 from selling the plagiarized footwear indefinitely, if they lose the case. For the time being PUMA was trying to be granted a restraining order to suspend the sale of the shoes until an official verdict was granted.
However, this attempt was snuffed by Judge Gutierrez on April 7th. This was done on the grounds that PUMA did, “not show that they are without fault in creating the crisis requiring ex party relief.”
The next step in the proceeding should take place any day now, so stay tuned!
