Sylvester Stallone, popularly known on-screen as “Rocky” has confirmed that Creed 2 will be shooting next year as a sequel to the 2015 movie starring himself and Michael B. Jordan.
Sly posted a photo featuring himself and Jordan training, hinting that a sequel is in the works.
The boxing drama was directed by Ryan Coogler from a script he co-wrote with Aaron Covington as a spinoff and sequel to the Rocky film series. Jordan played Adonis, the son of Apollo Creed, with Stallone reprising the role of Rocky Balboa. Other major characters included Tessa Thompson who played MBJ’s love interest and Phylicia Rashad as his mother.
In 2016, Creed won Michael B. Jordan two NAACP awards, including the coveted “Entertainer of the Year” while Stallone won the Golden Globe Award for “Best Supporting Actor” with his role.
