Amiyah Scott, originally from New Orleans, gained recognition after winning the POCC Ball for FQ Face at just 17 years old.  Since then, she’s won many grand prizes, including the coveted 5K FQ Face. She is best known for portraying “Cotton Brown” on the popular Fox network TV musical drama series ‘STAR’ and excels as an actress, author, and advocate for the trans community. 
Amiyah Scott’s journey from New Orleans to Hollywood is a powerful example of strength and talent as she dismantles barriers for trans women of color. In her memoir, “Memoirs of a Mermaid,” she candidly shares her personal struggles and triumphs. Through her social media platform, she amplifies trans rights and fosters a culture of positivity and empowerment. Amiyah’s influence extends far beyond the entertainment industry, reshaping beauty standards and courage and sparking hopeful societal transformations.
