We are over 200 days deep into the flaming spectacle that is the Trump presidency. Despite Trump’s (“Forty-five”) numerous political miscalculations, there is still a faction that holds tightly to the idea that Forty-five has been doing a better job than Obama. Obvious delusion aside, it’s clear that racism has played a major role in keeping the idea thriving among Forty-five supporters.

Before we delve further into this topic, let me say that Obama was dope! He wasn’t perfect but he was was classy, tactful, educated, and an eloquent speaker… things Forty-Five so obviously lack. Now, let’s review some of the reasons why Forty-five is in no way better than his predecessor.

The Reasons:

1. Attacked the FBI and intelligence community.
Why are you trying to fight the people who are supposed to be defending the country?? Feeling a little… GUILTY?

2. Firing former FBI Director, James Comey for not wanting to be loyal to him.
This is NOT an aristocracy and you are not a king, but that’s a whole different story. As if that wasn’t bad enough he then threatened to leak tapes (which probably don’t exist) to bully him into being silenced. Thank God James Comey is about that life!

3. Twitter Fingers.
When the safety of the nation is at your fingertips, you think he’d know when to keep his 280 characters to himself, but lo and behold, self-control isn’t a big part of this presidency.

4. Ignoring and dismissing Russian involvement in the 2016 election.
Part of the very reason Trump is being investigated by the intelligence community is that he’s believed to have ties with the Russians who allegedly hijacked the 2016 election. Now, why on earth would they want him in office?

5. Stood by Roy Moore.
Roy Moore, the former Republican Senate candidate for Alabama, was accused of molesting several teenage girls. Instead of using his twitter fingers for good, Forty-five decided to tweet in support of Moore. He even suggested that he might campaign with him in the future…yikes!

6. Pussy Grabber (pre-presidency… but still!)
If you haven’t already heard his pussy grabber statement, consider yourself lucky. Let’s just say that the forty-fifth President isn’t the least misogynistic person in the Capital.

7. Acting like the Alt-right isn’t wildin’ out.
In fact, he went so far as to say that there are “very fine people” on that side. No one wants to hear that when bodies are piling up!

8. Giving Israeli intelligence allies classified information.
Um, who in their right mind goes about sharing classified tea with Israeli allies?? President Forty-five, of course. If that wasn’t already too much, he went on to not so subtly confirm that he definitely spilled the classified tea.

9. Demanding a horrible healthcare bill be passed.
This was especially tragic because the bill would be disastrous for his core voters, yet some of them are still sticking to their guns. It was estimated that about 4 million Americans who benefited from the cost-sharing payment would suffer in the 30 states that Trump won (based on an analysis of 2017 enrollment data from the U.S Centers for Medicaid and Medicaid services). 4 Million people! 

10. Attacking media.
This may seem like a small fry but it isn’t. Forty-five has consistently attacked the media and has inspired many to do the same. To attack the media is to attack sources of information which may alter how they deliver news and shape public opinion. 

I’ll stop the list right there. There are probably over 100 things that we could list that demonstrate not only that Forty-five appears unstable and makes poor decisions, but that he is definitely not better than Obama.

To blatantly support him demonstrates an inability to recognize that your own well-being has been jeopardized. Not only has he:
*exposed American intelligence to enemy allies
*attempted to pass bills that would hurt working-class Americans (but stuff the pocket of wealthy friends) #shadyandselfish
*encourage misogyny
*jeopardized national security
but he does it all while continuing to express and encourage racist rhetoric!

So, what does that mean for Trump supporters? It means that YOU, a Forty-five supporting fiend, are probably racist. The uniqueness of the campaign ran by Forty-five was that he so often attacked non-white races. His attacks, shaming, and choice of words contributed to white fear; white fear of demographic change and the shifting of power, to be exact.

Forty-five has cultivated a very dangerous type of following by tapping into the fear of white people losing their white privilege. Despite some of the denial surrounding if “white privilege” actually exists, by some of these very same people, it is clear that their fear of losing their privilege not only motivated them to vote for good ol’ Forty-five but motivates them to continue supporting him.

LET IT GO FAM. Not much besides racism and fear of losing the privilege claim doesn’t exist is motivating your undying support. It is time to look out for your own self-interest and stop supporting someone who continues to put the nation at risk.
