The whole America tuned in to watch last night’s election. Hillary supporters where so sure that she hand it in the bag, but they were wrong. Donald Trump, the bully from New York won the presidency with 288 electoral votes, a landslide to Politicians. As rural American screamed “Make America Great Again,” People of Color and Millennials were shaking in there boots and red with anger.
Most people where shocked to see that next president succeeding the first Black president is a racist, sexest Rich boy, but I wasn’t.
1. America’s Population:
According to the Cenus, America is 75% White. This means people of color represents 25% percent of the vote. This isn’t enough to vote Hillary into the Oval office. She needs the vote from White Americans as well. Unfortunately, even though she was more popular among college educated White men and women, Donald Trump has rural America in his back pocket. However, there is is a silver lining, Hillary received the most votes from Millennials, so the next election may be very different.

2. People just don’t like Hillary:
It is no secret that America didn’t like either of the candidates very much. When it came to both candidates, America found both Trump and Clinton un trustworthy. However, Hillary Clinton has run for president FOUR TIMES and never won. Having her run again was smart because of her experience, but for some reason people just can’t seem to get pass her emails and give this woman a shot to run the country. However, Hillary did win the popular vote, so looks like people do like Hillary after all boo!
3. Rural America feels forgotten:
During George W Bush’s administration, America fell into hard times. However no one was hit harder than the South and Rural America. Factory Jobs were leaving to go to places like China and Mexico and the working man and woman were left jobless. Even though Obama created 3 million new jobs, the jobs seemed to be tailored more to college grads with technical backgrounds. Donald trump supporters believe Donald trump will create more jobs for people who didn’t attend college.
4.Donald’s Trump Marketing Campaign was stronger:
Similar to Obama’s first presidential campaign in 2008, Donald Trump created a slogan Americans could get behind. “Make America Great again” is ambiguous as it gets, but it allows each American to reflect to a time where they thought America was thriving. Many of us can not remember such a time because Obama’s Administration is all we know or remember and it was a lot better than Bush’s Administration, but many Americans felt their lives were better before Obama or Bush’s era. Hillary’s slogan was “I’m with her” and wasn’t as relatable to America.
5. America is becoming “Anti Government:”
Believe it or not, many people saw Donald Trump as something fresh and new. They aren’t entirely wrong, Donald Trump is the only president elect to have no political or military experience. This does make Donald Trump the dark horse in many ways. Americans are becoming fustrated with Government and see’s Trump as the answer.
Happy or sad, Donald Trump is official our next President. Instead of writing sad Facebook posts, let’s stay positive and prepare ourselves for the next 4 years. We are all on the same team and want to move forward as a people. People of this country has faced a lot worst and we overcame it all. Yes, there are things that still needs to be changed, but continue to work hard and be that difference. Let’s face it, we are in for a hell of a ride!
In the words of Obama “Reject Cynicism and Reject Fear!”
