The Girls Trip breakout star Tiffany Haddish has been cast in a Kevin Hart-led comedy. The film is called Night School, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The project, from Hartbeat Productions and Will Packer Productions, follows a group of misfits who are forced to attend adult classes in the long-shot chance they’ll pass the GED exam.
The new project will see Haddish reunite with Universal, Girls Trip director Malcolm D. Lee and producer Will Packer.
Night School was written by Hart, Harry Ratchford, Joey Wells and Matt Kellard. It is set to be released in September 2018.
On the heels of the comedy Girls Trips’ success at the box office, Haddish is releasing her first stand-up special, Tiffany Haddish: She Ready! From The Hood to Hollywood, on Showtime on August 18. She will also be starring in the upcoming TBS series The Last O.G. opposite Tracy Morgan.
