What do Teyana Taylor, Blair Underwood, French Montana, Wiz Khalifa, and SuperDuper Kyle have in common? They will all be a part of an upcoming Netflix original film!
The stars are casted to be in the Netflix film The After Party , which is from Def Picture, Hunting Lane Films, Worldstar Hip Hop and Live Nation Productions. The screenplay writer, Ian Edelman (How to Make It in America) wrote it, along with directing the film. Lee “Q” O’Denat and Russell Simmons are amongst the list of producers working on the project. O’Denat, who is the founder of Worldstar Hip Hop, was inspired to develop the idea because of some of his favorite movies like Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and American Graffiti.
The After Party is about two best friends who plan to get a record deal before they part ways when they graduate high school. As they try to accomplish their goals during a wild night, they are only left with two options: succeed in getting a record deal, or go their separate ways.
Filming is currently underway in New York and the movie is set to release sometime next year.
