The Met Gala is the biggest showcase of fashion in genres from avant-garde to classic gowns and suits. The Gala is a fund-raiser for the MET’s costume institute, but over the years has become a star-studded event. The entrance of the Gala is basically a runway for the designers and their celebrity models to show off their garments in the latest theme.
Next year’s theme is rumored to be “Fashion and Religion.” A very interesting choice. Weather or not one considers themself religious, religion shows up in all walks of life. And it will be amazing to see how the world’s top designers tackle such a delicate, and broad topic.
