Marsai Martin is already killing it at the age of 13. The Black-ish star who portrays the dark and witty Diane on Black-ish, will executive produce and star in her first feature film.
The film is titled “Little,” and is reportedly a comedy about a woman who gets the chance to relieve the carefree live as her younger self (Martin), when the pressure of adulthood become too much. Martin also came up with the idea for the script.
“Peeples” writer Tina Gordon Chism is tapped to direct the script which was initially written by “Girls Trip” writer Tracy Oliver. The project features Girl Trip’s Will Packer and James Lopez alongside Black-ish creator Kenya Barris as producers. Regina Hall and Josh Martin will also executive produce with Marsai Martin.
Everyone is freaking out over the news, Martin’s Black-ish co-stars Yara Shahidi and Tracee Ellis Ross congratulated the young starlet via social media.
