Popular consignment store, 2nd Time Around is abruptly going out of business. Just like most brick and mortar stores, 2nd Time Around is feeling the heat from similar online businesses. Online stores like eBay or Threadup have been stealing their customer base. Sadly, 2nd Time Around does not have their own online presence to combat this change. As a result the store will be closing down every one of their locations. This abrupt decision has many shocked and upset.
The store was very popular in Massachusetts, New York, and other northeastern states, but this is a problem we have been seeing everywhere. Many of our favorite stores are shutting down completely or closing locations because of the looming online presence. Who knows which stores could be next):
